…for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs. (Philippians 4:16)
In the passage above, the Apostle Paul is thanking the church in Philippi for their continued generosity toward him personally and the ministry that God had called him to. Time and again, the Philippian believers had blessed Paul with their spirit of giving, and their partnership in the ministry. Paul was indeed grateful, and he wanted them to know it.
The Christmas season has once again passed and we are embarking on a brand new year together. What God has in store for us in 2024 only He knows. But, if you and I remain faithful, we will continue to see God use us for His glory through the advancement of His Kingdom. As your pastor, I am thankful for the faithfulness in giving and serving by all who are part of this fellowship.
And, personally, like the Apostle Paul, I too want to express mine and Cindi’s gratitude to all of you for all of the beautiful cards, kind and encouraging words, and generous gifts to us at the Christmas season, and throughout the year. I do not believe that we have ever been a part of a fellowship that has loved and encouraged us as much as the Gateway family. From the bottom of our hearts, we are humbled and truly grateful for all that you do for us.
We look forward excitedly to what God will accomplish in 2024 through His faithful servants here at Gateway Community Church.
Soli Deo Gloria,
PC
