Meet Our Pastor!

Dr. J. Clay and Cindi Stevens

Email: pc@gatewaycommunity.church

Pastor Clay has led Gateway Community Church since November 2019. He and his wife, Cindi, have three grown sons and five grandchildren. He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Luther Rice University, a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expositional Preaching, also from Southeastern.

Pastor Clay is passionate about teaching the word of God to help men and women “be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.” (Colossians 1:9b) He is also the author of the book: I Get It! Discovering How To Really Live In The Promises Of God; a book about how to experience the fullness of Christ in our lives on a daily basis.

Our Pastor has led mission trips all over the world and in addition to helping believers mature in their walk with Christ, he is committed to helping God’s Church fulfill her mission of taking the message of Jesus Christ here, there, and everywhere.

Pastor Clay is an avid golfer and guitar collector. He loves his wife and family, Humphrey Bogart movies, and a good dark roast coffee. He and Cindi enjoy traveling, spending time with people, (They say they have the gift of hanging out) spoiling their grandkids, and going to Disney.

Church Staff

Kris Bishop
Office Manager

Kris has worked in the church office for several years. In her words, she “enjoys working for possibly the best church in Brevard County!” Working in the church office is a privilege, as is being involved with people and what God is doing in their lives.”

Kris, husband, Gary, and their 4 children became a part of Gateway in 1985. One of her greatest blessings is knowing that all their children and spouses have a personal relationship with Jesus and are serving Him in some capacity. She loves spending time with her 9 grandkids.

Linda Bush
Receptionist/Assistant Office Manager

Linda has been a part of the Gateway family since 1985 and served on staff since 2002. Linda serves as the office receptionist; fielding phone calls, answering questions, welcoming those who come to the office or Family Life Center, as well as other office responsibilities.

Linda enjoys spending time with her three grown children and their families, including thirteen grandchildren. She also enjoys participating in ladies’ Bible studies and listening to Z88.3.
